Director - Engineering - IT Product Development Firm

Presently we are looking Director Engineering for leading US based IT product development company in Coimbatore. Please find below the JD.

Responsibilities :

- Participate in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the product.

- Creating / Plan, assist and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization.

- Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products.

- Creation and development of quality control plans and ensures all project metrics are met. Work with software engineers, developers, architects

- Prioritize and allocate projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.

Requirements :

- Strong leadership ability to motivate engineers with good presentation/communication skills

- Provide engineering execution excellence, as well as technical vision and direction, to ensure the development team is aligned with the strategy of the company

- Predictably deliver high-quality, scalable software and drive decisions.

- Assess and recommend software architecture design decisions, having vetted the recommendations from team members

- Manage and optimize the team's workflow processes

- Implement metrics and monitoring to assess system and infrastructure performance

- Attract, retain, mentor, and develop an outstanding and motivated team

- Define objectives and track results for team members in a supportive, motivating, and fact-riven way.
