Objective / Purpose of duty:

Technical Solutions Consultant - X86 Migration

- In this exciting role, as a part of an elite business and technical professionals, you will develop an overall strategic approach and solution to migrate or virtualize business critical applications.

- You are expected to create and develop technical solutions and architectures as well as the underlying business cases and planning that meets critical business needs for Business Critical Applications.

- In addition, this role is expected to develop x86 solutions linking technology, data and applications to current and future business needs using recognized IT architectural practices.

- The role will help documenting best practices in developing and deploying Business Critical Applications on x86 platforms as well.

- Furthermore, in this role, you will develop standard reusable “productized” consulting Services IP including definition of tasks, deliverables and standard estimates.

- You will assist in enablement activities, such as developing and delivering training and enablement to internal staff and strategic partners.

Main Responsibilities:

- Develop an overall strategic approach and solution to migrate or virtualize business critical applications.

- Articulate the benefits and value of x86 by moving their “Business Critical Applications” to an x86 platform

- Create and develop technical solutions and architectures, and the underlying business cases and planning that meets critical business needs for Business Critical Applications

- Develop x86 solutions linking technology, data and applications to current and future business needs using recognized IT architectural practices (e.g. Enterprise Architecture).

- Develop standard reusable “productized” consulting Services IP including definition of tasks, deliverables and standard estimates

- Document best practices in developing and deploying Business Critical Applications on x86 platforms

- Assist in enablement activities, such as developing and delivering training and enablement to internal staff and strategic partners.

Experience & Qualification:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- At least 4 years of experience as a Technical Solutions or Enterprise Architect in a consulting environment

- At least 4 years of experience with one or more Business Critical Applications, ideally SAP or Oracle from an implementation or operational perspective.

- TOGAF or similar certification preferred

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

- Experience in developing Enterprise IT architectural solutions

- Hands-on experience migrating business critical applications such as Enterprise Java systems, SAP, Oracle to x86

- Strong grasp of administration concepts and activities, tuning, and implementation best practices for business critical applications such as Oracle, SAP, Enterprise Java system
