Dimension Data - DC ITO Service Management Architect

Objective / Purpose of duty:

- The ITO Services Architect is responsible for ensuring all aspects of a solution (including operational, technical and commercial designs) fit together in a consistent manner and satisfies the business requirements and other objectives of the client.

- The ITO Services Architect creates and manages complex value propositions for every pursuit. This is a client facing role focused on an individual opportunity.

Main Responsibilities:

- The ITO Service Architect works with the Client Sales team to identify, qualify and develop ITO opportunities

- The ITO Service Architect also works with the Client Sales team to pursue, negotiate and win innovative solutions for major IT outsourcing engagements

- Meet or exceed Client’s expectations by designing, scoping, assessing and delivering IT Operations solutions that address the client's business requirements and are within the ''Scope of Work'' as agreed to by the client and DD

- Identifying the IT Operations requirements of the client e.g. IT Operations staffing, ITIL Processes, Monitoring and Management tools needed to manage the client’s IT Infrastructure – this infrastructure includes networks, servers, storage, databases, desktops, etc

- To develop a “value proposition” in the proposed IT Operations solution for why the client would want to outsource their IT Operations to Dimension Data

- Works with all parties to ensure that the IT Operations solution meets client’s needs

- Act as an advisor to work with Transition Manager to ensure we transition the client’s IT Operations environment from client’s IT staff to Dimension Data

- To work with Services Delivery Manager to conduct reviews during implementation and deployment phase with senior technical team to assess if requirements have been met and potential risks are managed and mitigated

Experience & Qualification:

- 12 to 15 years in IT industry with at least 5 years in outsourcing industry involved in a mixture of IT Operations, DC Operations and Pre-Sales for operational services

- Has good exposure in Data Center Operations, Network & Security Operations

- Candidate must have Transition & Transformation experience

- A combination of technology, IT operations and business experience and skills

- Has good hands-on support and technical experience in design and delivery of managed services for large scale ITO engagement

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

- Ability to communicate to business executives, management and technical staff

- Good in constructing innovative IT Outsourcing models

- Experience working on data centre outsourcing opportunities and transformational outsourcing which includes moving client environments into virtualized and/or cloud environments

- Multi-discipline IT background - working as an Outsourcing Pre-Sales Consultant, Data Centre Operations Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager in a large infrastructure outsourcing corporation

- Be able to construct innovative commercial model for transformational outsourcing engagement

- Proven comprehension of solutions capabilities and how the solution is designed to be integrated into the client environment

- Self-driven, good communication skill and result-oriented.
