Dimension Data - Data Centre Architect

Objective / Purpose of duty: Enterprise Architect (Data Centre)

Main Responsibilities:

- Engage with IT Managers, CXO and establish credibility

- Experience with DC facilities assessment and Consolidation projects

- Technical expertise in at least 2-3 infrastructure domains (network, server, storage, security, facilities)

- Identify and recommend SW management strategy (i.e. Automation, DRP, BCP, Archival, Service Management)

- Drive consulting assessments (e.g. TLMA, Storage, x86, facilities)

- Co-facilitate DCDM

- Lead POCs

- Engage IT managers and establish credibility

- In smaller engagements, able to step up as DC consultant

- Develop project plans

- Lead QC for Project Management and Implementation strategy

- Develop proposals and statement of works

- Identify and recommend SW management strategy

- Knowledge of Automation tools and functionality

- Experience with Backup, Recovery, Archival strategy

- Basic knowledge of Service Management

Experience & Qualification: 15+ years

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

- Consulting or Presales Background (7+ years)

- Similar role at NTT Facilities/ Communications, IBM, Wipro, other ITO companies

- Experience in DC facilities assessment (power, cooling)

- Experience with x86, consolidation projects

- More than 15 years of experience

- Technical expertise in at least 2-3 infrastructure domains (network, server, storage, security, facilities)

- Experience in architecting complex DC solutions

- Experience in leading infrastructure projects, proposal development
