About The Role
We need a Digital Account Director to work based out of our Mumbai head office. Our clients are among the sharpest digital thinkers in the industry and want to evolve constantly and at pace. This presents some wonderfully interesting challenges and some amazing opportunities.
The successful candidate will: have big brand experience, be well skilled at multi stakeholder engagement and management and finally, will be a digital innovator, understanding the importance of data in today's market with opinions on cross screen attribution and how to best knit all digital channels together in the context of a broader communications mix. We believe in dynamic marketing and the Digital Account Director will understand that future digital plans need to be thought of as ecosystems rather than lines of excel.
This role means not only having a sound understanding of all digital - including all the specialisms from paid search and SEO, to paid social and programmatic - but it also entails encouraging markets to drive best practice execution of campaigns through established methodologies, and coordinating responses, reports and solutions for the client.
You will need to build excellent relationships with clients, media-owners and other teams in the research, strategy, analytics and account disciplines. You will be able to take a client brief, understand it and work with internal stakeholders to create a best in class solution that you can present to your client.
We demand creative thinking, you will be inquisitive and always ready to try new ways of answering your clients' brief. We expect Digital Account Directors to be fully aware of new industry developments and have a healthy interest in digital as a matter of course.
The Digital Account Director must
Lead and manage across digital products, people and performance
Understand the client's businesses thoroughly
Develop strong relationships with senior clients, becoming a trusted advisor
Inspire digital planning, strategy and creative expertise
Identify new and pioneering opportunities to achieve best in class communications
Increase revenue and profitability
Cultivate a team dynamic
Create effective systems and solutions that enable digital efficiency and effectiveness
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Drive digital strategy and best practice activation
Develop strategies, ideas to innovate and testing platforms for brands
Oversee deployment of methodologies and systems (e.g. reporting structures) ensuring maximum consistency across the clients
Management of Account Managers and Execs, ensuring the best quality work
Day to day management of client relationships earning the trust and respect of the client and key contacts
Day to day management of relationships ensuring best in class digital activation
Develop strong relationships with strategists and planners internally
Work to deadlines and manage client/strategist's expectations
Develop understanding of client's products and business objectives
Provide market intelligence to planning teams on all aspects of the digital marketplace
A valuable and knowledgeable team member
Appraise existing talent, set smart goals and create bespoke learning and development programmes
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
8+ years experience in digital marketing or strategic marketing consulting
Strong familiarity with digital metrics
Highly proficient in PPT, Word, Excel
Knowledgeable in the latest trends, apps and softwares driving digital transformation.
In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines (including audience identification and analysis, targeting, experience design, digital production, and online analytics.)
Excellent knowledge digital and opinions on where it is headed
An understanding of other media channels and their impact on digital
Previous experience in the entire digital process from campaign briefing, planning, implementation, management & optimisation and reporting
Good client facing communicator with some experience of presenting to clients
Analytical skills to measure impact and identify trends
Strong numerical ability with very good attention to detail
Experience on working with FMCG brands desired
