Job Description

Position - Zonal Renewal Manager - ZRM

Designation - Senior Manager

Department - Renewals

Location - Mumbai, Kolkata

Reporting - Head - Renewals

Span - Area Renewal Manager - ARM

A. Position Summary:

- Single point authority to own renewal targets of the zone

- Drive activity and collection of renewal premium in the field

B. Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

- Manage relationship with key business partners ( for the Zone)

- Mandatory visits to top business partners on a fortnightly basis

- Address issues and concerns of business partners

- Provide information and data to stakeholders concerned from time to time

- Coordinate with outsourced vendor personnel to drive output and manage relationship

- Coordinate with sales stakeholders to drive field activity and results

Ownership and driving business numbers

- Sole responsibility of renewal collection and persistency targets in the zone

- Deliver exceptional results on various parameters including 13th month persistency, overall collection while keeping the costs at budgeted level

- Identify opportunities to enhance renewal collection through practical, innovative and inspiring solutions

- Travel to various locations in the zone to drive persistency and manage stakeholder expectations.

Activity Management

- End to end activity management of direct and indirect reporters in the field

- Drive renewal collection through team - ARM and BRE

- Monitor Sales and Renewal staff activities in the field; bring in discipline in the field

- Develop a culture of adhering to field visits as required by HO time to time

- Branch visits to interact with Renewals and Sales team, sort out issues and take feedback

- Manage orphan and non-orphan policies of the branch and nearby mapped locations

Planning and Performance Management

- Planning with the local teams on monthly targets and planning

- Ensuring teams follow through the plans

- Reviews with the local teams on monthly targets and achievement

- Strategize next month planning basis historical results, learning and experience

- Sharing of review outcomes with HO on a monthly basis

- Sharing fortnightly performance updates with Renewals Head and take update from field force on a fortnightly basis

Engagement

- Drive process and other adherences in the field including

- Audit of processes and practices

- Quality controls

- Regularly track the market development in terms of new and innovative practices and solutions

- Drive change management in the field

- Contribute experience and suggestions in Sales and Operations meets

- Organize Renewals meet at zone level and recognize top performers

C. Key Requirements:

Qualification and Experience:

- Education qualification - Graduation (Post Graduation preferred)

- 7+ years of experience in Insurance- preferably in Renewals or Sales department

- Certified candidates (NCFM/AMFI/Licentiate among others) will be given preference

Competency and Skills:

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Appropriate execution capability

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Ability to learn and be flexible

- Perseverance to achieve goals

- Partnering with stakeholders

- Fluent in local language

- Basics of MS office including Excel and Powerpoint
