DGM - Solution Architect - Cloud Computing

Short Job Description:

The cloud architect will be responsible for overseeing the project cloud computing strategy. This includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. You will oversee application architecture and deployment in cloud environments including public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud. Help process and solution design teams to make correct design decisions, help-produce and/or validate design artefacts in context of selected cloud environment and work closely with Product Manager, Analysts, and Developers to validate required solution in time and to the end user's satisfaction. Additionally, you will act as a consultant to the organization and need to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and issues.

Job Responsibilities:

- Take lead on cloud technology matters, provide technical inputs and work with Solution Architects, Architects, Software Engineers, SME and Business/Systems Analysts to analyse and model requirements, solve problems and choose most suitable solution.

- Co-Produce and or validate technical design documents and help align technical designs to solution requirements specifications.

- Where necessary, he /she is involved with an in-depth assessments to validate if the technology and architecture addresses the business requirement including but not limited to cost efficiency, availability, scalability, security, regulatory compliances etc.

- Provide cloud solution across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

- Managing vendor relationships from defining computing load to negotiating licenses and understanding the dynamics of a virtual work environment.

- Manage the constantly shifting relationship between the organization's technical demands and the capacity to be pulled from the cloud.

- Ensure that the service-level agreement requirements are met.

- Leading tasks for a team in an Agile environment. Ensure that the technical rigor is in place for the solutions being developed and conduct code reviews.

- Participate in proof-of-concept and technology evaluations, vet possibilities and make recommendations.

- Participate and lead, when required, in the project meetings, brainstorming with IT teams.

- Manage designs across multiple concurrently running projects to meet project time lines.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field with 10+ years of overall experience. At least 3 years of experience working as a Cloud Architect.

- Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as experience designing, deploying and migrating applications to the cloud.

- Experience in a consultant role to build relationships with customers and team members.

- Experience in multiple programming languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, JavaScript, various JavaScript frameworks.

- Experience in all phases of SDLC for multiple project. Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps.

- Experience in Amazon Web Services, Azure required.

- A good grasp of cloud architecture patterns and demonstrated experience is must.

- Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs.

- Experience with full-stack development using technologies such as .NET, Ruby, NodeJS, Python, and/or Java

- Working knowledge of development tools and practices such as Git, Jenkins, Test Driven Development

- Should have hand- on experience in complete SDLC in at least 3 projects of 6 months duration and Application lifecycle management tools (TFS/Git Stash, Jira etc.).

- Should have good understanding of Scalable web architectures and Distributed systems

- Experience in system design, implementation, scalability and interoperability of enterprise systems and web infrastructure.

- Good knowledge and implementation experience of Web Service API's for integration purposes

- Familiarity with mobile devices and associated technologies.

- Self-directed individual who is able to take initiative, organize and execute required activities in an agile project environment where teams are not necessarily co-located.

- Experience in containerised deployments using Dockers or similar technologies.

- Experience with Polyglot persistence with multiple database like SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB, Redis etc.,

- Architected at least 3-4 big multi-tier architecture projects with highly extensible framework SAAS based applications.

- Having product development background desired.
