DGM - Sales ( Gujarat) AgTech Startup

The company is an AgTech startup, private equity funded and growing at 3X to 4X rate. During the last one year, it has launched 5 new products and is focusing on launching another 5 products this year. In the next five years, we plan to be present across India's horticultural geographies and clock turnover of 1000+ crores. It already has a strong team of 100+ members growing further to meet its aggressive growth targets. Job Description :

- Desired candidate should be passionate about sales and must understand roles, responsibilities and the agility required at startups. Team Leadership experience of 8-12 years leading a team of 10 ASMs and TMs is mandatory.

- Similar years of experience in channel management and development is required.

- Should have a proven track record of creating a new market for a new brand in rural market. Please note that job involves traveling a lot in assigned territory.

- Experience of working in Rural- agri market, Team Leader, integrity, sincerity and team player. Flexible and adaptable to change and can handle uncertainty. Proficient in Local language (Gujarati)

Job Responsibilities :

- To devise and execute a sales and marketing strategy using direct sales force and channel.

- Recruiting, managing, motivating and training direct as well as dealer sales force.

- Channel Management including ensuring investments from dealers, billing stocks on time, ensuring appropriate inventories in system.

- Planning and executing ATL/BTL activities, designing and executing sales schemes.

- Responsible for Business P&L - Top and Bottom line, budgeting and pricing for the area assigned.

- Managing relationship with key stakeholders like financers, channel partners

- Competitor Analysis.

Required Experience :

- 8 - 12 years experience in sales of equipment to rural/agri sector. Candidates having experience in selling of rural financial services, agri insurance or allied industry may also apply.

- Should have minimum 5 years of experience in starting a new market for a new implement or a tractor manufacturer, preferably in Gujarat.

Desirable Experience :

- Experience in sales and marketing of Light Vehicles (Two Wheelers/ Motor Cycles/ Passenger Cars) and Consumer Durables. Experience in rural sales ( vehicles, insurance, financial services, agri equipments) will be highly desirable.

Educational Qualification : B.E. Agri./ Mechanical and MBA ( Marketing) from Tier 1/Tier 2 schools

Compensation : Best in the Industry with aggressive incentive plans
