The position is based in Andheri.  Please find below the job details. :  Designation : Manager / DGM Legal  Reporting to : AVP Legal  Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Are Very Strong In Litigation  Job Responsibilities :  - Handling of various Civil Matters including Summary Suits and Declaratory Suits.   - Handling of Writ Petitions and also applications u/s. 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code before various jurisdictions.  - Handling of Criminal Matters under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954.  - Handling of Matters under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, both adjudication matters and Criminal Prosecutions under the Act.  - Handling of matters under Legal Metrology Act.  - Handing of matters under Negotiable Instrument Act, Indian Penal Code etc.  - Handling of Matters under Essential Commodities Act including drafting reply to Show Cause Notices, appearing before District Collectors and other authorities under Essential Commodities Act and also handling criminal matter arising out of violations of Essential Commodities Act and various Orders under the said Act.  - Giving reply to various Show Cause Notices under Food Safety Standards Act, Drugs and Magical Remedies Act etc., appearing and arguing on behalf of the Company before various authorities.  Handling of IP Matters :  - Undertaking Search for adoption of new trade-marks both in India and abroad.  - Advising the Company as to whether a particular Trade Mark is available for adoption or not including the possibility of objections/oppositions and legal action in the event of adoption.  - Filing of Trade Mark applications across various jurisdictions and further pursuing the same for registration.  - Filing of Copy Right Applications, Design Registration Applications etc.  - Preparation and filing of Oppositions, Counter Statements, Evidences under Various Rules with regard to Trade Mark Applications.  - Handling of Rectifications Proceedings before Intellectual Property Appellate Board, Trade Mark Registry.  - Handing of Litigation under Trade Marks Act and Copy Right Act.  - Filing of Police Complaint against Infringers of IP Rights of the Company and organizing raid and seizure of counterfeit goods.  - Undertaking of Due Diligence, Negotiation, Preparation and execution of documentation in the event of acquisition/obtaining licensing of IP Rights and also in the event of licensing of Company's IP Rights.   Drafting and Vetting of Documents and Risk Mitigation :  - Negotiation, Drafting and Vetting of various contracts and other legal documents.  - Reviewing of all important documents to ensure that they are in compliance with all applicable statutory, legal and internal corporate requirements.  - Reviewing and providing legal advice on tender documents/new projects documents and providing legal protection risk management advice to the Management.  - Providing legal and regulatory advise to the Management in the event of new product launch/new campaigns to ensure that the claims made in the product, the proposed communication strategy to market the product etc. are in line with the legal and regulatory frame work.   - Liaisoning and keeping close coordination with relevant departments to ensure that legal risks have been identified; appropriate measures are taken to mitigate risk.  - Undertaking legal due diligence, scrutiny of due diligence reports and accordingly advising management for taking decisions in the event of acquisition of Companies / units and new business.  - Interpretation of new developments in related legal and regulatory frame work, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements for the concerned operational department.  Please revert with a copy of your updated resume mentioning current CTC, Expected CTC, Notice Period  Amit Hande
