THE PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to support business objectives by enhanced focus on Legal matters pertaining to Corp Centre and Auto .
Job Title : DGM
Location : Worli, Mumbai
MAJOR DELIVERABLES
Exclusively look after legal matters pertaining to the following:
- Protect IPR of the company by tracking trade mark journals and filing oppositions, defending trade mark applications in opposition, rectifications. Issue notice against infringers/ imitators.
- Liaison and brief solicitors and advocates in respect of legal matters
- Ability to handle the day to day management of a trademarks portfolio
- Passing off litigation
- Deal with various litigation cases- design litigation/ patent litigation etc
- Advice on various types of Contracts such as Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, Co-operation Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Consultancy
- Agreements, MOUs, Confidentiality / Non-Disclosure Agreements etc. to be entered into with clients, business partners, consultants, vendors etc. as the case may be.
- Liaison and brief solicitors and advocates in respect of legal matters
- Take charge of complex legal documentation & transactions
THE RIGHT PERSON
Essential Attributes -
- Good knowledge and practical exposure to legal matters - esp IPRs
- Exceptional written & spoken communication
- Tech savvy
- Good presentation skills
- High on energy
- Quick on the uptake and abstract thinking
- Good at networking.
Desirable Attributes -
- Ability to run law function single handedly
- Able to interact freely with senior management
Profile- DGM able to control a team and handle legal matters of an entire sector.
Personal Profile -
- Educational Qualifications – LLB / LLM (Preferable)
- Experience – 10 years preferably at least some portion in practice with leading solutions
- Industry choice if any – Manufacturing, FMCG/ MNC
