DGM/Head - Sales - Inspection Business (10-15 yrs)
Business Strategy:
- Translates the BU strategy into a sales plan for Inspection Business with revenue targets set for different regions within the broad segment
- Manages key customers in both domestic and international market
- Oversees timely collection of payments as per agreed terms to ensure steady cash flow; recommends actions to expedite collections in case of outstanding payments, particularly for high impact accounts
- Obtains market insights related to competitive pricing, credit terms, volume, and innovative techniques as applicable in the specific geographic segment that can be incorporated while framing the sales strategy
- Partners with the team below to convert potential customers and accompanies them for critical meetings to generate business in the long-term
- Assess and monitor reporting headcounts for the best performances and integrate/replace to reach and maximize effectiveness of results
Customer management :
- Develops/modifies systems to effectively capture customer feedback on an on-going basis
- Monitors the team for timely resolution of customer concerns and gets involved in critical issues
- Initiates processes to strengthen customer service in response to customer feedback shared by the team
Cross-functional Interaction :
- Co-ordinates with relevant departments
- For inputs on setting competitive sales targets for new products
- To check techno-commercial feasibility of complex requests such as product customization, new product development etc.
Team Development :
Provides guidance and coaching to the team below in business expansion and management of the clusters
Scope of Decision Making :
- Functions independently to devise strategy for the respective product/ market with broad guidance from business/management objectives
- Takes decisions on complex issues where analysis requires an in-depth assessment of many variables and potential consequences which impact product sale in the region, maintenance of existing customers and attraction of new customers
