DGM - Government Sales - eCommerce (10-20 yrs)

We have a opp with one of our Ecommerce client based at Bangalore

Reports To Head Institutional Sales

Job Purpose Lead the Govt. business nationally in conjugation with Business Development Team & Account Managers to pursue qualified leads, conduct prospecting, further qualify and develop opportunities

Principal Accountabilities

- Major Strategic Account Projects in Government Enterprises, Good Knowledge of Government Tender Process (Manual, E-Tender) including Pre-RFP level Analysis.

- Responsibility includes visiting all Government Offices (INDIA), Brand building activities, Product presentation, Rate contract, Tenders, Vender registration to various Government ( State /Central)

- Managing Government Departments, Boards, Commissions, Corporations, Central Government Offices/Organizations, BANKING, FINANCE and INSURANCE, SCIENTIFIC and R & D, EDUCATIONAL and TRAINING, Societies, TOURISM and HOSPITALITY.

- Enhance business by identifying new accounts in various Central / State Govt departments / PSU- s,

- Aggressively achieve revenue targets set, by designing appropriate strategies, plans and programs to Maximize profitability.

- Interact appropriately with top level executives / bureaucrats / officers and negotiate high value contracts, while remaining focused on business acquisition.

Education, Experience & Around 10 to 17 years with relevant direct exposure in govt business..

MBA if there would be an add on advantage

Skills / Abilities -

Product or Service Industry would align

- Govt/PSU expertise

- Geography knowledge in at least 2 locations.. English and Hindi would be add on advantage.

- Good coordination skill sets

Smart, young, Sharp, sales attitude .

Confidence, enthusiasm and determination to succeed

Ability to work under pressure & managing crisis & aggressive in meeting tgts.

Planning & organisation.

Skill sets to interact with internal team members
