Qualification: MBA HR/ M.A./ M.Sc. in HR

Key purpose of the job:
- This position is responsible for formulating and ensuring delivery of the organization & employee development strategy along with the Head HR.
- Duties include working with managers to enhance the overall employee experience from orientation to assimilation, capability building, succession management and career development.
Strategic:
- Develop and execute the L&D strategy and budget
- Initiate major Organization building and Employee Development Initiatives such as career planning and succession management
- Create a L&D roadmap with phase-wise implementation plan based on business imperatives
- Develop & standardize core developmental programs catering to organizational needs across regions
- Drive the organization culture based on core values and performance through a uniform internal communication framework & methodology
Operational:
Learning & Development:
- Undertaking organization wide training need analysis through HR-BPs
- Develop networks with external training providers for both soft and technical skills and administer relevant programs basis analysis,
- Ensure development of necessary training infrastructure at the corporate and regions
- Develop and implement appropriate OD initiatives from time to time to meet specific objectives
- Prepare a Development plan and Training Calendar based on the outcome of performance appraisal, training needs assessment, feedback etc.
- Partner L&D initiatives with other functions in skill development & integrate behavioral modules with focus on service orientation.
- Develop High potential identification and development programs
- Create and implement customized Campus Program for Graduate Engineer Trainees and MBAs to develop a talent pipeline for the future
- Manage L&D costs through cost control; capacity utilization; efficient use of resources; and continuous improvement
- Create effective processes for monitoring and measuring training processes and incorporate constructive feedback into the same
- Ensure maintenance of training records
Organization Development:
- Undertake Career planning basis inputs from PMS and L&D teams
- Responsible for succession management through identification of high potential assessment and development initiatives
- Responsible for driving culture management by undertaking periodic culture mapping surveys and project managing or supporting key initiatives to drive cultural change
Developmental:
- Recruit appropriate talent where required for his/her work area
- Carry out performance appraisals, assess capability, and training needs of individuals in his/her team
- Career planning for employees through guiding, coaching, mentoring and motivating them towards superior team performance & for achieving department and units objectives.
- Develop team's capabilities and keep updated with the latest trends
- Keep abreast of developments in the area
Internal & External Interactions:
Internal: All regional and site offices, Departmental and Functional Heads, employees at large
External: External training organizations, T&D facilitators/experts, External consulting organizations
