Position Summary

Job Role: Development Director (Risk )Technology

Location: India - Mumbai

Position Summary: The Development Director (Risk) Technology will oversee the application development team to support the Risk services team to provide automation of Risk functions.

Experience Required:

Technical:

- 10+ years of progressively responsible application development and technology leadership roles, preferably in the investment domain, with a preference for direct - buy-side- experience

- 5+ years of experience in Risk Technology supporting Market/Credit Risk related applications

- Understanding of valuation & modelling of financial products from all asset classes

- Advance understanding of fund and portfolio accounting is required

- Extensive experience specifically with position and p&l management, corporate actions, collateral & margin, valuation, integration with administrators

- The candidate would be required to manage projects and requirements from Risk team to provide quick, scalable and market standard solutions for Risk.

- The candidate should have a good understanding of trade and risk data with some experience in managing large trade datasets across multi asset class portfolio.

- The candidate is also expected to provide direction to the risk development team for taking risk solutions in the form of mobile apps for the Gravitas clientele

Specific Skills:

- Strong OOD/OOP skills, and experience applying modern design patterns.

- 5+ years-experience designing and managing services based architectures

- 10+ years of solid .Net experience (C#, WPF, WCF, ASP.net and Web services).

- Solid experience with enterprise database solution (MS SQL mandatory, Oracle and others - a plus)

- Solid experience using multi-threading, data cache, file polling, ETL tools & constructs

- Solid experience managing solutions and integration with FIX connectivity, Prime Brokers, Clearing platforms and Market Data providers (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, etc.)

- Experience integrating with Risk Engines ( IBM Algorithmic, Risk Metrics)

- BA risk experience with a financial institution covering Fixed Income/Commodities/Equities/FX

Education: Graduation from a top tier technology or management (IIT/NIT) institute in India with degree in information Technology
