Job Title :   Deputy Vice President /Vice president IT Infra windows and Networks  Department : IT  Location: NOC  Reporting To Head IT Infra and Service Delivery (ISD)  Grade DVP/VP1  Number of incumbents in the role currently : 1  Reporting Relationship : Sr Mgr / AVP  Position Purpose (Provide a brief description of the general nature of the position; an overview of why the job exists; and what the job is to accomplish)  - This position is responsible for the delivery of operational support and maintenance of the Banks infrastructure environment including Core Infra and Networks.   - This role is also pivotal in the development and delivery of infrastructure projects, changes and improvements. The position provides technical leadership in terms of the development of infrastructure strategies and plans, mentoring of other team members and acting as an escalation point for incidents and requests.  - Responsible for partnering with Key stakeholders including BSG, PMO to achieve Business stated and unstated objectives by ensuring the availability and uptime of the Key Infrastructure components  - Solution Architect from Infra perspective including Hardware, Software (OS), backup, storage, Virtualization for the technology solution deployments. Working with business to understand business growth and ensuring capacity enhancements are done to match the business growth .Ensuring technology obsolesce is taken care of by ensuring required support is available from the principle or technology upgrades are done. Process enhancements, regular reviews with Vendor to ensure faster and effective service delivery for the end users, pan Bank.   - Compliance of the Infra including DC as per the ISO certifications and audit. Identification and deployments of new technology solutions to bring speed and efficiency for the application landscape. Identification of cost save opportunities in areas such Core Infra technology, procurement and Vendor Relationship management. Working with the PMO and ensuring timely Infra deployments for projects including key strategic Enterprise projects and agile projects  Position Responsibilities  List in order of importance the major responsibilities of the job and the percentage of time spent on activities/Sub activities  Sr. Key Responsibilities %Importance of Responsibility % Time Consumed :  Maintain Solutions and Existing Environment - Guiding and overseeing the delivery of infrastructure services in accordance with agreed service level targets, including :  - Accountability for infrastructure service availability and support responsiveness.  - Managing the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of the Bank's IT infrastructure environment.  - Overseeing reports and documentation related to the IT infrastructure environment operations.  - Developing and implementing infrastructure maintenance schedules for the Bank infrastructure environment.  - Leading the development and implementation of infrastructure operational policies and procedures.  - Acting as an escalation point for incidents and events.  Owning the relationship with designated ICT vendors and service providers.  Analysing existing operations and identifying and implementing improvements to support growth of the Banks- IT infrastructure environment( Core Wintel and Datacentre )   - Solution Identification and Build :  Contribute to the development of infrastructure strategies, roadmaps and plans.  Assess the potential of emerging technologies and innovation ideas and determine suitability for Bank.  In the capacity of Senior Technical Lead ( Where required)  - Define functional and technical requirements.  - Formulate solutions and detailed designs.  - Build and test new and upgraded solutions. :  Document solutions and designs.   - Managing Windows Infrastructure along with support staff and help in expanding the new rollouts on Wintel / Virtual Infrastructure, Mail and Messaging, Proxy, Internet, File and Print environment, Blackberry, Backup Infrastructure, Desktop Virtualization etc 10 10  Managing Datacenter domain Infrastructure :  - Design/implementation of new DC technologies, Support of the DC Infra ( like provision of racks, NW devices, cabling etc in the Datacentre.  - Managing the current Wintel Infrastructure & supporting Infrastructure application   Service improvement programs :   - Managing the Capacity planning, Disaster recovery, Ensuring compliance for the Wintel and NW Infrastructure .. 10 10  Vendor Management :  - Vendor Management and ensuring monthly reviews with the Vendor.  - Working with the vendor to ensure that all end users issues are resolved to satisfaction.  Project support :  - Working with the projects team and ensuring all help and support on the IT Infra is provided.Building service reports and reporting on process improvements, team performance and agreed service levels  Incident Management/ Problem Management / Change Management process adherence :  - Work with the vendors and issues are resolved within SLA's.  - Do comparative study and analyse trending data and identify potential areas/ issues by proactively working with the Problem management team  - Work with Vendors and raise relevant Change Management related to end users.  Security Policy and adherence and compliance :  - Ensure Security policy adherence and compliance.  - Maintain an updated list of documents related to process and SOP's for the end user. Periodic updation of the documents 10 10  Monitor and Manage Routine Operations Management - Operations :  - Work with other support groups and vendors to provide seamless support to customers.  - Monitor, analyze and address reliability and performance issues.  - Analyze problems, develop creative solutions and assess risks/benefits.  - Develop strategies for resolving them and preventing future occurrences.  - Work with 2nd level support group to assist with application design/development/upgrade testing and implementation.  - Assess and address compliance with applicable IP Policies, Standards and Technical controls
