Summary :

Provides leadership and direction for day-to-day activities of groups responsible for the overall planning, operation and control of the transmission line systems and related customer service activities. Directs staff in the planning, design, construction and improvement of all transmission facilities. Ensures appropriate and effective customer service functions are implemented. Assures development and integration of strategic and operational plans and ensures appropriate and up-to-date emergency operating plans, policies and procedures.

Area of responsibilities :

- Development and maintenance of working relationships with customers, other utilities, suppliers and representatives to meet TLD strategic objectives

- Compliance with rules, regulations, policies, contracts (safety, environmental, labor, reliability, etc.)

- Development and integration of strategic and operational plans for assigned functions with KPTL strategies

- Management of Transmission assets through efficient planning, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance, and technology transfer

- Understand customer’s expectations & requirement and percolate to subordinates.

- Conduct trade and functional training programs for subordinates.

- Ensure adherence to standards established by the company

- Conceptual Planning of the Project

- Planning and Estimation of Site Infrastructure

- Resource Mobilization & its monitoring for effective usage

- Overall administration of the Project.

- M.I.S. (Management Information System) established .

- Responsible to minimize wastage of Construction Material.

- Liaison with Client / Consultants.

- Motivating and managing teams & leaders.

- Timely completion of project within the given time frame and maintaining quality of Work at all stages as per specifications within budget

- Manage projects with cost efficient construction and timely commissioning of projects as per specified quality and safety parameters

- Manage revenue and expenditure .Tracking of cash flows of the projects .Ensure timely billing and collection

Competencies :

- Strong commercial and financial acumen.

- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong planning and risk management skills.

- Desire to work within a challenging, fast changing but also rewarding environment.

Skills

Proficient in MS Office applications./SAP –Module

Education :

- Bachelor’s Degree from an engineering College of a reputable university is mandatory.

- A Master’s degree would be an asset

Experience :

- Minimum 20 years & maximum 25 years of managing project teams on Transmission line projects
