Deputy Manager - Technology Risk Analytics & Reporting

The Technology Risk & Controls Oversight Analyst reports to the Technology Risk and Controls Consultant in UK office and the Technology Risk Manager.

- This role is responsible for acquiring, processing, analyzing and reporting technology risk and controls data to provide insight and technical perspective required for effectively overseeing Technology Risk Management across the business.

Experience :

- At least 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in the areas of responsibility, directly delivering technology risk analytics and reporting activities.

- Exposure to technology risk management or related functions within Financial Services companies, Consulting or Technology supporting financial services clients. Experience operating in a second line of defence context would be a significant plus.

- Significant experience of reporting and presenting technology risk and controls information with the wider business, regulatory and industry context, in a simple and effective way

Significant hands-on experience in developing, operating and maintaining a technology risk analytics and reporting framework with a concentration in one or more of the following technology risk areas :

- Digital Strategy Risk

- Cyber Risk

- Data Risk

- Supply Chain Risk

- Resilience Risk

- Experience in acquiring, analyzing, prioritizing, reporting and presenting technology risks and controls using a risk management lens to a diverse audience with varying degrees of technical understanding.

- Experience challenging the business's processes and thinking on their controls

- Experience in utilising data sources, and analytics platforms/applications data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting

- Experience of making large complex data inquests and ingestions, and analysing these to identify trends, changes to normal data profiles, understand root cause, and deliver deep insights

- Experience in undertaking threat horizon scanning, research and intelligence activities

- Experience of authoring papers for Risk Committees and senior management teams

- Some experience in developing metrics and key risk indicators for technology risk areas to measure the performance and effectiveness of the controls framework.

- Some experience in undertaking cyber security data analytics with hands-on querying, extraction, analysis and reporting using manual and automated tools and techniques.

- Some experience of analyzing and interpreting complex rules and regulations and applying such knowledge to provide solutions to business problems and issues

- Some experience of developing risk appetite statements for technology risk domains

Knowledge And Skills :

- Expert knowledge of technology risk and controls analysis and reporting frameworks, methodologies, processes, tools and techniques

- Detailed knowledge of one or more technology risk domains:

- Digital Strategy Risk

- Cyber Risk

- Data Privacy Risk

- Supply Chain Risk

- Resilience Risk

- Detailed knowledge of technology risk and control frameworks/standards such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO etc. and other industry best practice

- Working knowledge of IT systems, services, platforms, architectures, and technology processes

- Working knowledge of operational risk frameworks and processes

- Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks for technology risk areas

- Working knowledge of insurance market, products, systems and distribution methods

- Working knowledge of major project delivery methods

- Working knowledge of threat research and intelligence gathering, analysis and reporting methodologies

- Constantly keep current and up to date with external developments in the key requirement areas
