Experience of financial reporting and actuarial modelling for a Life - Assurance company  - Experience of managing a range of stakeholders  - Experience of managing people e.g. work allocation, performance management  - Experience (5-7 years) of relevant actuarial experience in an insurance / financial services business  - Experience of preparing and documenting simple computer programmes and models to clearly defined requirements  - Experience of numerical analysis and data manipulation using a range of systems and actuarial tools  Knowledge:  - Actuarial trainee with up to 18 credits (equivalent to 14 Actuarial examinations), will be a student member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries and / or Indian Institute of Actuaries  - Detailed knowledge of at least one function / team within Actuarial and ability to deliver on assigned tasks independently  - Working knowledge of significant regulatory processes within Prudential UK operations  - Working knowledge of insurance industry related products  - Working knowledge of the financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks  - Understanding of the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice  - Take all reasonable steps to ensure adherence to all external regulatory, legal and industry obligations within the business area  - To demonstrate a positive risk and control culture through the active identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and controls within the business area  - To ensure that you understand and adhere to Prudential's Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of all mandatory training requirements  - Ensure all expenditure commitments (orders, contracts, budgets, etc.) and all payments are properly authorised, controlled and monitored in accordance with Prudential UK delegated authority requirements.  - The responsibilities of expenditure authorisers are documented in the Prudential UK Financial Procedures Manual.  - Deliver a range of technical tasks, models, advice and guidance as specified in - personal objectives  - Accountable for the technical accuracy of outputs  - Provide coaching and guidance to more junior members of the team as required
