Deputy Finance Manager - Payroll Management - Software Firm (5-7 yrs)

Job Description :

The incumbent would be responsible for :

End to end management of payroll processing for the Company under supervision.

Will be responsible to ensure payroll related statutory compliance and audits - both internal as well as external.

Job Responsibility :

Ensure end to end payroll management under guidance includes but not limited to updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, deductions, and disbursement as per Company's laid down guidelines for monthly payroll, employee claims and other financial instruments.

Coordinating with Banks for fund management & transactions and bank reconciliations.

Timely execution of TDS, PF calculation and filing returns. Prepare reports by compiling summary of earnings, taxes, deductions etc.

Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. Provides payroll information by resolving Staff queries.

Act as SPOC for internal and external audits and ensures compliance to laid down SOPs.

Monitor internal financial control system for the Company.

Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures

Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Support in finalization of balance sheet, P&L A/C and cashflows on monthly, quarterly and annually.

Conducts awareness sessions during NBSO.

Any other adhoc requirements with respect to payroll management and processing.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Desired Profile :

The incumbent should be C.A./C.S./MBA - Finance with 70% in 10/12th & 60% above in rest of academics.

Must have 5-7 years of work experience in managing payroll for a mid to large sized company.

Experience in handling queries raised by staff is mandatory.

Clear understanding of taxation involved in employer paid benefits is essential.

Must have working knowledge of software accounting packaging.

Must have the required qualities and vision to grow as an SME in payroll management with attitude to build his/her potential for the same.

Should have: Clear thinking, flexibility, adaptability to work schedules, effective verbal and written communication, time management, self-confidence, open to changes & challenges, eye for detail, perseverance, discreetness and diplomacy, analytical thinking; sound independent decision making and team work.

Must possess the attitude to deliver solution First Time Right.
