- Assisting in strategic planning, reviewing, driving business processes & operational efficiency across the groups
- Partnering with local and onshore COO’s to drive the annual budgeting and resource planning process.
- Will also ensure proper controls are in place. Flesh out major issues and areas of focus for the management team
- Oversight of all headcount, efficiencies, MI and BoW - this includes governance, approvals and improving efficiency of the overall process in Mumbai and globally
- Role also acts as a chief risk officer for the entire Finance and facilitates BOAT conversations
- Presentations, Meetings & townhalls - aiding management in organizing and preparing presentations and taking detailed minutes during internal team meetings; developing crisp presentations when required
- Ad hoc Requests - assisting the COO with ad hoc data requests and MI
- Organize and drive quarterly business reviews for each of the groups
- Oversight of travel and travel requests, Market Data Services and consultant costs -Performing periodic reviews and optimizing costs
- Driving monthly / quarterly financial reviews against goals / targets; providing meaningful analytics and MI;
- Ensuring costs are accurately reflected in the financials
- Maintaining oversight of all infrastructure requirements of the group
Experience/Background:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in financial services, consulting or banking experience especially in a central role (Prior COO experience a definite asset)
- Previous experience in a finance function would be advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills
- Is highly collaborative and has strong interpersonal skills
