Key job responsibilities include the following :

- The professional needs to support, develop, write, and deploy thought leadership and point of views (POV) in the B&S industry. The professional will need to develop research ideas, frame hypotheses, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills.

The professional will be required to :

- Demonstrate sound working knowledge in B&S industry or its sub-sectors by delivering industry insights. Candidates with no prior U.S. B&S experience will be expected to ramp-up quickly on the sector.

- Demonstrate strong writing skills as required for thought leadership reports.

- Support in designing research proposal and formulating research plan.

- Independently execute research projects ensuring quality and timelines.

- Liaise with U.S. based B&S team to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities.

- Learn and apply established research tools and methodologies to develop research ideas.

The Core skills required are as follows :

- Self-motivated and strong team player.

- Business research/thought leadership development in B&S sector.

- Sound analytical skills with experience in one or more of the following research methods: Primary research (surveys,interviews), financial analysis, secondary research, and case study research. Ability to conduct in-depth, complex data analysis is preferred.

- Candidates with strong industry/sector secondary research experience is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Journalistic and narrative style of writing is preferred along with prior experience in report-writing and research report development.

- Ability to develop compelling and analytical data visualizations using one or more tools like Excel, Tableau, or others.

- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills demonstrating ability to generate meaningful analytical insights.

- Exposure to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected.

Other skills required are as follows :

- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks and ability to apply them in research problems.

- Experience working with US clients and teams is a plus. Since the job requires working with US-based colleagues, the ability to work across cultures is important.

- Research and analysis - Ability to research and provide deep insights on varied and complex banking and securities (B&S) sector topics. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including statistical analysis will be preferred.

- Sector knowledge - Broad understanding of B&S sector fundamentals.

- Business writing - Strong business writings kills- narrative, appealing, succinct. Should be able to convey complex research ideas in a compelling manner. Additional skills in story boarding preferred.

- Communication skills - Strong verbal skills and experience communicating / working with virtual teams.

- MS Office - Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word

Social media - Broad understanding of key social media platforms is preferable- Twitter, LinkedIn, Slide Share. Needs to be savvy and hands-on with some of these platforms.

Qualification :

- Any Graduate & MBA

Preferred : Master's Degree like CFA/CA

Experience : 5-9 years ( prior work experience in PE/HF/MF Industry)
