Deloitte - SE/AM - Corporate Financial Advisory International - M&A (2-5 yrs)
Deloitte seeks to hire a Research Analyst to support the Global Financial Advisory Services team. The applicant will be responsible for undertaking secondary research through various sources and developing a deliverable in a defined format. The primary responsibilities will include delivering fact-based research and to continuously innovate in adding more value to the products delivered.
Apart from qualitative research, the candidate is expected to contribute towards a quantitative requisite.
- Assist in preparing pitch books, marketing material and engagement deliverables (Information Memorandum)
- Analyze the historical and projected financials of companies and perform financial valuation exercises.
- Perform secondary research to deliver products including company profiles, industry dashboards, news runs, M&A case studies, etc.
- Study and gather facts from multiple sources to assimilate required information into a concise format
- Carry out research on companies, industries, management, etc.
- Active participation & contribution in team discussions on project specific areas
- Ensuring accuracy of information provided within stipulated time frame
- Good understanding of financial statements, valuations, multiples, ratios, etc.
- M&A / Transaction deal cycle experience/exposure with working knowledge on valuation methodologies (financial forecast model, DCF, WACC, sensitivity analysis
- Conversant with all types of secondary research through databases, company filings & reports, industry reports, as well as general research
- Ability to understand the dynamics of various sectors, including value chain, strategy and key performance indicators
- An ability to challenge current working methodologies to make them better
- Experience of using databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factset, Factiva, Thomson, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize insights from data
- Excellent communication skills with expertise in Microsoft office tools - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant M&A experience at Corporate Finance / Investment Bank
- CA qualified (ideally first time passes) or equivalent qualification (CFA, CPA, Masters in Finance)
- Relevant experience of minimum 2-3 years (post qualification)
- Excellent academic track record
