Job Responsibilities:

The primary role of a Deloitte Manager is to make immediate, direct contributions to enhancing our clients- competitive position and performance in ways that are distinctive, innovative, and sustainable. To do this, Managers must perform the following activities as a project manager and leader within the firm:

- Work closely and collaboratively with client teams to develop hypotheses, gather data, brainstorm strategic options, and make choices about their strategy; Managers are generally seen by clients as the day-to-day manager of the project and, with the input and involvement of more senior colleagues, are the architects of the client engagement campaign

- Manage project teams to address client specific needs:

- Design and oversee the appropriate research and analysis to answer the questions set out in the project mandate;

- Integrate the team's data gathering and analysis into relevant frameworks and insights;

- Synthesize learnings and develop strategic recommendations and implications;

- Design and oversee effective communication of team findings and deliverables;

- Collaborate with senior colleagues throughout the client engagement:

- Involved in relevant parts of the intellectual process, including hypothesis generation, project design and input into key deliverables;

- Develop more junior colleagues into effective consultants through team member role design, productive feedback, mentorship and on-the-job coaching;

- Act as a leader in your local office:

- Support formal firm-building initiatives (e.g., recruiting, training);

- Participate in social / culture-building activities

Throughout the Manager's tenure with the firm, a strong emphasis is placed on professional development and career customization. When case assignments are made, careful consideration is given to each Manager's aspirations, talents and past case experiences to ensure broad exposure to a variety of relevant industries, business problems, types of analyses, and knowledge domains. Managers are able to earn significant responsibility early in their careers.

Job Qualifications:

We are looking for high-performing candidates with at least five years of directly relevant work experience, who could quickly take on project management roles within the firm. Candidates should have the ability to meet each of the following criteria:

- A strong and demonstrated interest in strategy and/or advisory client service (management consulting experience is essential);

- Prior experience (through employment) in qualitative, quantitative and financial analysis;

- Knowledge of core business domains including strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and data analysis techniques;

- Prior experience managing strategy engagements and programs;

- Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework;

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;

- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor;

- Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently;

- Candidates from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. An undergraduate or graduate degree in business would be an asset but is not a requirement.

- Able to take initiative and make things happen with moderate supervision and guidance.
