Position: Business Analysis Sr. Analyst

Business Need Overview:

GSD Analytics CoE is an arm of PAG, a captive KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcer) supporting the Global Support & Deployment organisation. Over the last several years, DGA/PAG has successfully established itself as a highly valued business partner across these functions. PAG supports all the three geographies: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and APJ (Asia Pacific), supporting over 300 primary internal customers.

The desirable candidate will be driven, creative, deeply analytical oriented and yet have the vision to develop solutions in partnership with Dell's Business teams that drive value to the business. The candidate should have the ability to work collaboratively in an environment with multiple stakeholders.

Job Description:

The Sr. Business Analyst role is a critical, customer facing role accountable for multiple aspects of Development using BI tools.

Experience: Must Have

- 3-5 years BI development experience (Microstrategy/BusinessObjects) in Grid reports, Graphs, Documents and Dashboards

- Should have worked as a BI developer with a reputed organization, with exposure to different projects at varying levels of complexity

- Must have a strong knowledge of SQL and should be able to test and troubleshoot problems in MSTR or BI tools using SQL skillset and cross-referencing databases

Experience: Advantage

- Past experience in developing reports that can be consumed on portable/mobile devices will be an advantage

Skillset Requirements: Technical

- Data modeling: In-depth knowledge of data model design (e.g. Microstrategy/BusinessObjects)

- SQL Server: Extensive experience in using SQL for troubleshooting and validation of reports

- Communication: Great English communication skills (written & verbal both) as the role requires the developer to directly interact with the business teams.

Skillsets: Domain

- Business understanding:

Candidate should exhibit the ability to absorb and develop domain knowledge in the hardware industry (Laptop, Desktop, Server, Storage, etc.)

- Fundamental business understanding of how and why the dashboards, reports are being used

- Strong business acumen, ability to assess impact on business performance

- Problem Solving: Ability to solve business problems/technical problems on the fly without expecting too much help from others in the team.

Skillsets: Functional

- Ability to project manage within function

- Strong analytical and critical thinking with problem solving ability

- High adaptability to changing requirements / customers dynamics / work demands

- Ability to effectively handle ambiguous situations

- Demonstrated the ability to think creatively and come up with ideas / thoughts for process & business improvement

- Past experience in direct Customer/ Client management

Good presentation skills

Educational Qualifications:

- MBA (preferred) from a good Management institute preferably with an Engineering background

- Good academic record.

Qualifications:

1. Engineering graduate/Engineering Postgraduate/MCA

2. BI certification (nice to have)
