Job Summary

This career opportunity is with IT Client, in the Global Infrastructure Services which provides IT-Infrastructure Engineering services (IES) mainly related Datacenter technologies, End user computing, and Network Support across NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.

IT-IES consists of Architecting, Design, Testing and Tuning. Our team is looking for technical savvy graduates with demonstrated interest and experience in managing delivery. The consultant will be part of a core team that will define standards, create a value proposition for customers and enable transition team / delivery team.

Responsibilities

As a member of this team one will have to work in close partnership with Client’s expansive global account and delivery teams. The architect at Client is expected to take an active role in all stages and aspects of the client engagement. The responsibilities typically include:

Delivery assurance – Interface with pre sales team to ensure that the solution is executable within the allocated budget and skills

Work closely with IES delivery teams to ensure success of projects, review all projects, enable them with new updates from solution team

Regular interface with projects, learn about best practices, feed it back to other delivery and pre sales team
Use the best practices to mature overall IES solution

Demonstrate and present delivery capability, transition to customers during pre-sales cycle / customer visits

Handle Escalations from delivery and ensure that the right team is identified to solve it

Enable delivery to maintain bench in IES

Be part of transition and ensure that the IES transitions are completed as per scope defined and exit after handing over to delivery

Be part of the pre-sales cycle and understand all he solutions that are being proposed

Ensure knowledge acquisition is done and handover to delivery after stabilizing the delivery

Transition project plans, requirement template should be created and updated

During project execution, ensure that the right people are identified for transitions

Engage with the customer during the project lifecycle, update tracker and present the status as required

Will have to travel abroad based on the nature of the project

Standardize transition related documents & write White papers on transitions

Participate in seminars and forums, interact with analysts

Maintain / Exceed customer satisfaction index for all customers

Carry out all tasks related to enabling bench

Hire and interview people, Update JD’s, suite id, Working closely with competency team to enable trainings,

Create content for trainings / work with partners for training

Identify partners for training, Update Competency framework

Creates a vision with business solution scenarios and services that help customers achieve their long-term corporate vision and meet their business goals.

Qualifications Required

The candidate’s depth and relevance of experience will determine the specific position offered. These positions are non-entry level, offer a competitive salary, and allow for timely career advancement based on performance. The following qualifications are desired in all candidates:

Candidates with experience between 8+ years will be selected. The architect should have at least the following experience

Should have managed large delivery teams

Experience in handling UNIX, Wintel, Storage and database teams

Should have managed transitions and project management experience

Should have handled competency development

Should have experience in forecasting resources, planning and working closely with resourcing team for
fulfillment

Should have experience in creating training content for teams

Should have handled technical support teams

Experience in testing process

Proven experience in managing cost of delivery, customer SLAs and metrics, attrition control, high CSAT, ITIL processes

Proven track record in delivering innovations in service delivery including new service introductions

Strong foundation of industry standard tools and process knowledge
