Job Summary:
Responsible for writing Web content; maintaining and updating Web pages/blogs; monitoring and responding to user-contributed website content; and participating in social media efforts for the company. Based on keywords research, the SEO copy writer will also edit and revise existing content to make it search engine friendly. Successful candidate will be trained on our content optimization techniques and will utilize his/her content writing abilities with our techniques for best search engine required content. Collaboration with sales rep and partners will be necessary. Candidate will also perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. This is an exciting position that will allow you to expand your knowledge in the area of search engine optimization.
Job Responsibilities
- Writes content online; maintains company Web pages and blog(s)
- Contributes to/updates the company's social sites like Facebook and Twitter
- Helps develop & document procedures to manage Web content
- Moderates content as it is contributed to the website by external sources
- Monitors social media outlets and responds on topics related to company/industry
- Keeps up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends
- Coordinate content creation & publishing of company newsletters
- Prepare internal and external communications including announcements, press releases, presentations, technical documentation, sales support, etc. as needed.
Required Skills
- Candidate must have good command over English language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be creative and fast learner
- Must be able to write articles on varied topics
- Basic image editing skills
- Candidates having prior experience in freelancing or regular web content writing will be preferred
- Fast typing speed 200 words/min
- Strong understanding of Internet and Web technologies and web based programming languages
- Should have the liking for internet marketing
- Have a creative bend of mind for new things
- Should be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent internet surfing knowledge
