DBS Bank - Senior Credit Risk Manager - Institutional/Corporate Banking (15-20 yrs)

1. To evaluate lending proposals for Indian Corporates and approve or recommend such proposals onwards to the next level of DOA

2. Ensure that proposals received are as per approved Target Market - Risk Acceptance Criteria (TM-RAC) and deviations thereof have been highlighted by Business Unit.

3. To provide strong credit support to the Head- Credit/SRE in implementing the strategy and business plans agreed by the GM & CEO with the Management Committee for DBS in India

4. To assist the Head-Credit/SRE in establishing credit controls and procedures and also help the Business Lines grow, such that the business runs seamlessly, within budgeted levels for NPLs.

5. To evaluate and approve credit proposals as per DOA. To recommend / provide studied and balanced credit opinions on lending propositions with a view to achieve a quick turnaround.

6. To have, general understanding of the Indian market in terms of risks associated with industries, companies and products and develop specific expertise on the assigned industry

7. To apply knowledge of RBI Regulations/ MAS Guidelines that govern credit dispensation, including the Loan Grading, Provisioning and Asset Classification regulations and to update Local credit / Lending Policies as applicable.

8. To assist in implementation of new credit evaluation tools, techniques and policies and help other credit staff and business unit staff to smoothly move into the new methodologies

9. To actively monitor the allocated portfolio and keep abreast of company performance and industry developments.

10. To maintain and assist the Head-Credit/SRE in maintaining compliance with regulatory, audit and statutory requirements and assist in inspections and audit (external and internal) inputs in all credit areas, along with compliance.

11. To have a working knowledge of the general Legal framework in which the bank operates in India and apply the same.

12. Interactions with Corporate Banking team.

13. Good Working relationship with HO Credit team, Risk Audit Team, product teams (FIG, GTS, T&M etc)

14. Interactions with RBI inspectors, external regulators and lawyers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. MBA / CA with minimum 15 yrs experience in similar capacity in Banks with comprehensive exposure to Corporate Banking / Institutional Banking domain

2. Good knowledge of credit evaluation methods, tools & techniques

3. Sound knowledge of financial statement analysis and accounting policies/practices

4. Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI, working knowledge of MAS regulations and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general

5. Knowledge of Corporate Banking products
