Data Scientist - Statistical/Predictive Modelling (3-10 yrs)
Data scientists will be responsible for utilizing advanced statistical methods to answer business questions and deliver insightful solutions to complex problems.
Specific Job Duties:
- Design hypothesis tests, overseeing test execution, and evaluating the results
- Develop metrics to measure business performance
- Model, predict, and classify consumer behavior and other business metrics
- Utilize machine learning and large-scale data mining techniques to discover and identify actionable patterns in the data
Required Education:
- A minimum four year degree in math, science, economics, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Applicants must have at least 3-10 years experience performing data analysis / predictive modeling
- Well-developed quantitative skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to query databases and perform basic statistical analysis
- Strong understanding of statistics and statistical theory
- At least 1 year of experience with one of the following programming languages: R, Python, Ruby
- Familiarity with hypothesis testing and study design
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL
