Data Scientist - Conjoint Analytics - BFSI/Retail/CPG

Looking for professionals having Discrete Choice / Multinomial experience and Conjoint Analysis

Job Purpose :

- Design and build robust data models based on captured data sets

- Translate complex statistical analysis over large datasets into insights and actions

- Analyse results and present back to key project stakeholders

- Communicate the insights

- Explore agenda: track and actively propose new methods and concepts

- Guide and mentor junior members in the team with key Discrete Choice Modelling concepts

Job Characteristics :

- Work with internal clients to understand their business problems, translate those problems into a survey design which can best address those business problems, work with statistical experts to analyse the resulting survey data, and then provide insight back to the business based on those results

- Use complex statistical modelling to provide answers to key BU key questions around pricing and promotions (directors / VPs Revenue Management as key stakeholders)

- Summarize insights and recommendations to be presented back to the business

- Use innovative methods to continuously improve the research quality

Evaluation Criteria :

- Projects delivered in time, in budget and without business disruption

- Project final analysis and deliverables signed off by country research stakeholders

- Final analysis implemented in better promotion strategy or pricing decisions

Qualifications, Experience, Skills :

Academic Degree : Masters or PhD or MPhil

- Statistics, Applied Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Operations Research or any other quantitative analysis

Professional qualifications and accreditations/memberships required :

- 4+ years of experience (either Professional or core Doctoral Research)

Previous work experience required :

- Experience building complex statistical models and analysis

- Experience in leading end to end projects for clients around Analytics

- Conjoint or discrete choice analysis (multinomial logit modelling, censored regression, or experimental design)

- Survey research experience

- Proven skills in translating statistics into insights

- Experience in Pricing / Promotions strongly preferred

- Experience in CPG company strongly preferred

- IT skills required

- Microsoft Office (mandatory)

- Statistical languages (R, Python) (mandatory)

- SQL (preferred)
