This a full-time role with one of our esteemed client, a global player within the strategic consulting domain, based out of their Indian HQs at Bangalore.
Scope / Objective
Reporting to Executive Director - Marketing Sciences, the Associate - Data Mining role is key in developing and expanding Data Mining capabilities at the company. In this role the candidate will work closely with the reporting manager on a day-to-day basis to develop, disseminate and execute data mining methodologies for use at our organisation worldwide. The candidate should be someone who loves to work with data and is knowledgeable about various data mining tools and methodologies. The candidate will work on client projects as well as do R&D on new tools and techniques in this rapidly expanding field.
Knowledge and Experience
Following Data Mining Tools & Techniques is necessary:
- Social media analytics (e.g. mining Blogs, Forums, Facebook, Twitter etc.)
- Data mining using Hadoop, Mahout, R
- Text mining
- Machine learning
- Simulations
- Collaborative filtering tools
- Basic statistical analysis concepts and methods.
Education / Skills Requirement
Minimum BE/BTech (Engineering) in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics or allied field or B.Sc. in Statistics. A Master's degree with focus on Machine learning, Data mining, Data Analysis, Statistical Methods in Statistics or an MBA with concentration in Marketing and Marketing Research would be a plus.
Software experience needed: Hadoop, Mahout, SQL Server, R, Social Media analytics, Other Mining tools, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Visual Basic, C++, Java, .Net
