Objectives  - Lead solution and delivery of data management, as a service, to clients of the company, including both long-term deals and short-term projects  - Build the business both by participating in the sales process as well as by driving team and capability development  Role:  “go to” professional and in-house expert on all matters related to Data Management, including:  - Data profiling, data cleansing, data deduplication, data transformation, Master data maintenance and data structure design  - Functional expert in pre-sales, sales, proposal building, etc.  - Solution expert  - Delivery and capability lead  - Data management expert in end-to-end team delivery that may involve multiple other services  Responsibilities:  - Build a data management team and train them  - Manage multiple stakeholders, understand their problem or analytical requirements, and build/design reusable assets/frameworks for Data services  - Collaborate across multiple internal stakeholders to get a project/solution delivered  - Develop strategies to maximize the value of the data and its impact  - Deploy and build wide-ranging business knowledge to design and build robust data management roadmaps for different industries and domains  - Be on top of ever changing industry needs and up-to-date on new solutions, tools, platforms and architecture framework for data management  - Take a holistic view of a problem and choose appropriate tools/platforms/solutions to solve it  - Good knowledge of the commercial tools and the open source alternatives  Skills and Behavioral Attributes:  - Self-starter, driven to build a practice with minimal direction  - Keen interest in new technologies and breakthrough in managing data and highly motivated towards success  - Ability to work in fast paced environment  - Structured problem solving skills to translate problems into solutions  - Good verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills  - Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide and non-technical audience  - Strong ability to guide a data management team  Qualifications:  - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; or equivalent, in Computer Science  - Experience of working in large scale data management operations work  - Experience of working in Data management services in Operations/BPO setup rather than IT/technology  - Experience of working with large data stores and different data warehousing technologies/BI technologies  - Experience of working with both structured and non-structured data sources  - Experience of working with RDBMS databases  - Hands-on experience of working on ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, AbInitio, Talend, Pentaho etc.  - Hands-on experience with BI tools and reporting software (e.g. Microstrategy, Cognos, Pentaho)  - Experience of working with SAP, Oracle and other such data sources
