Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, and maintain conceptual, logical and data models; identifying business critical gaps and discrepancies; actively propose and implement remediation tactics
- Establish and maintain a Enterprise Data Model blueprint to provide reference and framework to the systems development efforts
- Own and establish data modeling repository, data modeling process and support model driven development across service lines
- Evangelize data modeling and effectively communicate benefits and return on investment for application and product owners
- Define, champion, manage pace, and govern data architecture standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies
- Support Metadata Management and data quality analysis processes
- Collaborate with Business Data Analysts to design and model Business Intelligence Semantic layers for optimized information access
- Work with the database engineering and DBAs to create optimal physical data models
- Support the definition and implementation of data initiatives within the business unit to support business priorities
- Actively contribute to Service Line and application strategy, and engage with key business partners to understand prioritization and influence direction
- Provide proactive technical oversight and mentorship to application architecture and development teams fostering data re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency
- Proactively identify enterprise opportunities that accelerate delivery and drive down operational costs through cross-product platform utilities and services
- Maintain effective relationships with product managers, application architects and technical leads for individual products
Candidate Description
- Experience in data related practices including various forms of data modeling, data analysis, design, integration, evaluation, and delivery
- Experience working with and deploying systems which incorporate Master Data Manage (MDM) principles, patterns, and tools
- Thorough understanding of leading data modeling principles and patterns including, conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
- Demonstrated experience modeling business systems, data warehouse and reporting semantic designs
- Experience working with data analysis, migration, and modeling tools (e.g. ER/Win, Power Designer, ERStudio)
- Data Warehouse design concepts and data warehouse reference models
- Data Architectural expertise in project, product, and cross product technology strategy
- Strong personal leadership and collaborative skills, combined with comprehensive, practical experience and knowledge in the Data Management and strategy domain
- Demonstrated willingness to understand the business being served and apply the correct technical solutions in order to enable successful achievement of its goals and objectives
- The ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations
- Experience working with multiple clients and projects at a time
- Demonstrated capability developing, maintaining, promoting data architectures
- Capable of providing thought leadership and abstract thinking
- The ability to quickly understand and incorporate new technologies
- Experience using technologies: Oracle DB, Informatica, PL/SQL
Skills and Knowledge considered a plus, but not required:
- Experience using leading industry standard technologies. Examples include: Oracle Exadata, OBIEE, Oracle Business Intelligence (BI), Netezza, Oracle VM, and Control-M solutions, Oracle DRM, Oracle IAM Oracle UCM, IBM iLog, IBM Data Discovery, DAG Meta Center, IBM Mainframe
- Software Development experience (C++, C, Java, .Net, PLSQL, Web Services)
- Project Management experience (e.g. timeline creation, resource management, status tracking, etc) specifically for proofs of concept, ROI analysis, and broad technology strategy efforts

- Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills and must be comfortable communicating with all levels in the organization
- Attention to detail and ability to evaluate broad impacts of issues and changes
Effective organizational, time management, facilitation and prioritization skills
