Assistant Manager/Manager, M&A and Technical Accounting  Cvent is seeking an Assistant Manager, M&A and Technical Accounting for our Gurgaon office. Our dramatic growth and successful initial public offering provide a rich and challenging work environment for highly driven individuals. This newly created role will be a mix of technical accounting and due diligence, purchasing accounting and accounting and operational integration related to Cvent- s M&A activity. The work is complex and provides a unique and challenging growth opportunity for the person in the role.  The ideal candidate is a CA having experience from a Big 4 accounting firm. Candidates coming directly out of public accounting, or who have already made the move to private industry are encouraged to apply. This person will need a strong technical accounting background, with M&A experience.  Position Duties :   - Perform technical accounting research, develop recommendations and prepare technical accounting memos for M&A transactions and all issues related to the transactions  - Assist with the review of potential M&A targets, including reviewing financial results and/or projects and accounting policies, as well as any other projects required under due diligence  - Manage the valuation process of the acquired entity, ensuring adherence to deadlines and proper purchase accounting  - Coordinate and manage integration activities, which requires effectively working with all parties to the acquisition, including the target personnel and all internal departments, to ensure a smooth integration of acquired entity  - Assist with the documentation of internal control activities and policies, as well as enforce strict adherence to the controls in place  - Research and manage the implementation of newly issued accounting pronouncements, supporting accounting in the application of existing accounting standards  - Assist with our external financial reporting process as needed, to ensure timely delivery of financial information to executive management and the board of directors  Candidate Requirements :   - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.  - Qualified Chartered Accountant  - 4+ years relevant experience  - Public accounting experience required. Candidates coming directly from public accounting are encouraged to apply.  - Preferably a CPA  - Perform technical accounting research for transaction-related events  - Significant technical accounting experience required  - Systems integration experience a plus
