At CRY, you'll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to - survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.  Your Role:  The role requires you to support the AGM MA in identifying Media Advocacy opportunities for the organization on child right issues and plan for timely, proactive news coverage.  Explore different news elements of any development in child rights issues for advocacy purpose. You are required to input into the formulation of strategies to position CRY as a significant voice on child rights issue in the country.  The role requires you to ensure standardization of content and messaging in national advocacy campaigns.  The position requires extensive communication with all functions of all regions in the organization. Good writing skill is required in order to write effective press releases and articles framing the issue that supports the organizations position.  You:   You should be a Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mass Communication or Journalism with 6-8 years experience in journalism or media advocacy. An understanding and experience of the media/ PR industries - a background in journalism is a huge plus. Excellent communication skills and Experience/ understanding of issue based advocacy is required.
