JD:  - He/ She will report to the Head of the Department.   - The person will be the in charge of the crisis operations centre and will be supported by different group heads that are required to provide a response to the identified crisis and will be responsible for the following tasks:  The Crisis Manager's first responsibility is to chair an introductory HCMT meeting. The Objectives of this meeting would be:  a) Gather together the known facts about the incident  b) Validate the damage assessment and impact reported by emergency response team  c) Delegate responsibilities moving forward  - To Contact the departmental managers/team leaders and ask them to invoke their plans, and participate in decision making to activate BCP in full/part  - To receive progress report on recovery activities, review and adjust recovery strategy as necessary.  - To seek update on longer term reinstatement plan, invoke use of alternative site if necessary  - To regularly collate and gauge the worst possible crisis events, plan how to prevent such events from happenings and how to respond if and when such events occur  - To stay current on government regulations and feeds related to natural or political changes / incidents in various regions that may impact infrastructure operations   - To develop a crisis management workflow entailing critical aspects such as compliance, preparedness, training, resource development and information management in line with the company and client policies and regulations  - To advice the management on policy changes, to provide support in response to crisis incidents and develop and coordinate training and mock exercises to enhance knowledge, procedures and operational capabilities of resources engaged, in consultations with Internal and Customer teams  - To organise regular mock exercise to test the robustness of the associated teams involved and assist in developing the business continuity plan of the client operations  - To manage resources aligned for a crisis which involves monitoring, allocation of resources and timely communicating the progress till the crisis is resolved   - To recommend, advise and support development and implementation of new procedures and plans in respect to the emerging crisis  - To establish close working contact with other operational functions within that identify crisis incidents  - Provide assistance and communicate about various activities and results, and disseminating information tailored to meet the needs of different audiences  - Enable early warning and response, based on round the clock availability of technical specialists in critical and emerging technologies  - After each crisis has passed, review the crisis and communicate with various stakeholder's what happened to discover what went well and what needs to be improved   Knowledge, Skills & Experience:  - L3 skill in any one technology/ track required   - Total of 12 to 15 years of work experience with at least two years of relevant experience  - Has working experience with clients based out of more than two geographic locations  - Experiences in managing team involved in Crisis management or Critical incident management  - Had been part of at least one disaster recovery (DR) / business continuity (BC) planning or simulation exercise of a client  - Experience of strategy and / or policy developed and implementations of DR or BC for a client  - Ability to identify process improvement opportunities viz. simplification, automation etc.  - Strong analytic and decision making abilities.   - Ability to work well at multiple levels (Leadership and Non-Leadership) thereby keeping customer satisfaction high   - Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well in a team   - Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal  Dimensions:  - Ability to network with company's client organization during crisis   - Ability to work under pressure and manage responsibilities  - Proven working experience in project management   - Ability to learn new information quickly and the willingness to do so at all times  - Ability to work flexible hours to coordinate with technical and business consultants, if needed.  Competencies:  - A Bachelors/ Master's Degree in Engineering  - ITIL/ ITSM Framework Expertise preferably Intermediate/Expert level ITIL Certification  - Functional understanding of any incident and change ticketing tool  - Self-Motivated, Customer Focus, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Individual & Team performer  - Concern for Service Quality
