Crisil - Research Editor

Functional Responsibility / Domain Related:

- This role involves editing, rewriting and restructuring various documents pertaining to industry research and company research.

- The objective is to ensure logical flow of ideas and consistency in messages in our documents.

- The role also requires extensive coordination with the analytical team as well as the composing team to ensure timely delivery of high quality research.

The skill sets needed for this role are:

- Basic understanding of the workflow of the Research business and the role of Editors in the scheme of things

- Editing goes beyond the mundane task of ensuring language hygiene, and sprucing up of reports - to ensuring that the edited documents convey the intended messages - accurately, briefly, and clearly.

- Ensuring that the edited reports meet the requirements of flow, logic, and consistency

- Understanding, proof-reading, rewriting and condensing research reports after frequent interactions with analysts.

Relevant experience in financial editing will be an added advantage.
