Job title : Senior Research Analyst / Lead Analyst - Counterparty Credit Risk Assessment (Corporates)

Experience : 2 - 6 years experience in assessing counterparty credit risk for global corporates

Job Duties :

- The role comprises supporting global onshore client analysts on credit risk assessment of various corporate entities - spread across multiple sectors and regions.

- The tasks involve undertaking research and analysis of corporate entities with an objective of assigning credit risk ratings after a thorough assessment of its credit strengths and weakness and weighing its business and financial risk profile.

- It would also require an understanding of the potential for sovereign support or parent support which would need to be factored into the credit ratings.

- A detailed credit assessment report would need to be prepared to justify the assigned ratings and elaborately discuss the company profile and credit risk considerations.

- Other activities may include financial modelling, preparing industry and country research reports.

- The role may also require training and mentoring colleagues on specific aspects of credit risk.

Qualification : CA/MBA Finance/CFA/FRM

Skills Required :

- Should have 2 to 6 years of experience specifically in counterparty credit risk assessment or credit research

- Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts.

- Excellent report writing and communication skills.

- Ability to identify key characteristics and drivers of industries.

- Credit assessment and analysis, including business, financial and management profiling.

- Good understanding of industry practices related to accounting adjustments in calculation of adjusted earnings, cash flow and leverage metrics.

- Ability to identify key risks and related mitigants of an entity. Ability to assess assign uplift to calculated ratings based on the possibility of support from parent entity and from the sovereign.

- Prior experience in credit research or credit risk assessment is mandatory.
