Credit Scoring Analyst - BFSI (8-20 yrs)

Credit Scoring Analyst :

The right candidate needs to possess significant statistical skills to be successful for this position.

Responsibilities :

- Work with the technology team to research; outline the business rules to create necessary scoring models for risk classification of our borrower members.

- Lead/manage implement of our credit scoring algorithm by analyzing and evaluating various statistical and analytical techniques and tools.

- Focused on the day-to-day management and continued risk assessment of the evolving fraud landscape

- Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with company (Financial Services) or general regulatory standards and policies in loan market and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.

- Work across the organization and take a proactive role in reducing the risks associated with fraud and/or revenue loss by developing best practices for fraud scoring rules, strategies and other business improvements to reduce fraud activity.

Minimum qualifications :

- Direct experience in building credit scoring model for major banks, regional banks, credit card companies or credit rating agencies such as CIBIL, Experian, Equifax and others.

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, finance, economics or related field or equivalent experience.

- Statistical programming skills in R

Preferred qualifications :

- Master's degree preferred.

- Knowledge of segmentation, scorecard development, loss forecasting and provision modelling preferred.

- Good documentation skills to write and maintain business requirements and other project documentation.
