Credit Risk - SAS/Analytics - BFSI (2-6 yrs)

Job Purpose:

- Maintain, Evaluate, Develop, Implement and Track/Monitor analytically robust Authorizations and Reissue strategies to optimize (add value to) the UK cards and UK partnerships portfolio performance.

Main Accountabilities:

- Maintain Evaluate, Develop, Implement and Track/Monitor Authorizations and Reissue strategies.

Key decision areas within Authorizations and Reissue are:

- Base Authorization (POS authorizations policy)

- Cash Decline Policy

- Stand In Authorizations

- Over Limit Expansion Strategy

- Chip Parameters Setting (front end and Dynamic scripting)

- Cheque Holding / Uncleared effects

- Card Reissues

- Transactions based analytics, using merchant and spend velocity based triggers

- T&Cs and TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) alignment of all strategies

- Review and roll out of new authorizations tests

Technical Skills/Competencies:

- Analytical ability: well developed analysis skills, evidenced through portfolio analysis and strategy development. Desire to pro actively keep their own specialist skills and knowledge at leading edge standard in order to fulfill their role.

- Preferably the individual has a clear understanding and meaningful experience in performing data analysis using a standard statistical package [such as SAS (preferred)]. Excellent Excel skills, and solid Powerpoint capabilities

- Team working: enjoys working in project teams across the business

- Conceptual thinking: strong strategic thinker with good commercial orientation. Able to see inside complex business problems to the core issues

- Communication: effectively and concisely communicate key facts and issues through correspondences and verbally with minor supervision. Interface with various departments effectively to ensure project delivery. Ability to communicate analytical information to non analytical minded people.

- Innovation: Innovative project management and strategic problem solving.

Knowledge and Expertise (relating to specialist knowledge and expertise required to undertake the role. May include knowledge of the Bank's products, services and policies):

Preferred:

- Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced SAS and SQL.

- 2+ years of credit risk analytical and strategy development experience.

- A self-motivated team player able to define, structure and prioritize work for self, but who also has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate

- Strong commercial orientation
