Creative Agri Solutions - Research Associate - Livestock Sector

Job Purpose :

- To provide technical support to research on Livestock sector.

Key Performance Area :

- Design and oversee research studies related to livestock.

- Provide technical expertise to field teams for data collection.

- Research support on livestock related issues - livestock sector policies, livestock and livelihoods, livestock value chains, climate change.

Job Responsibilities :

- The current assignment entails engagement with ground level research including interactions with farmers, government officials, stakeholders in rural areas, industry players involved in agribusinesses, etc.

- The candidate is expected to support the research work by involvement in all aspects of the project including desk review, field data collection (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis and report writing.

- The successful candidate will also be interacting with the project partners (Government, Public, Private, donor agencies) as and when required.

- The candidate will also be involved in writing project proposals, coordinate and follow up with stakeholders etc.

Education, Experience, Skills :

- Minimum of 2 years of experience.

- Excellent track record of achieving results.

- Experience in research and handling of statistical data, Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.

- Demonstrated high level technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

- Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in Animal Husbandry is a must. Any other degree related to Agriculture will be an Advantage.

- Must have strong English written and oral communication skills.
