Head of Operations - Research and Consulting Firm in Agriculture and Rural Development for Creative Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd (CASPL)
Purpose of the Job:
The Head Operations will be responsible for ensuring efficient functioning of the organization from a strategic and operational perspective. The individual will take responsibility for excellence and timely delivery in operations and support the growth of the organization as a global leader in the area of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The ideal candidate will have excellent management skills. S/he should have leadership qualities and aspire to lead the team. The ideal candidate will have exposure and experience in the area of agriculture, livelihoods, rural development. S/he will work closely with the Management Team to strategically plan the growth of the organization as a global leader in agriculture and livelihoods research and consultancy.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPA- S)
1. Achieve Business Performance
- Be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of systems, operations, and the general operating model of the organization.
- Leverage the advantages of bringing together the operational expertise and drive through more efficient ways of working.
- Contribute to the organization leadership with dedicated and singular focus on execution and delivery.
- Ensure strategic objectives shaped at Management level are translated into operational plans and ensure monitoring the progress.
- Coordinate the efforts of the different operational areas under management to ensure minimal duplication of efforts, maximum efficiency and to maximise efficiency.
- Contribute to the developing a short term, medium term and long term strategy for the organization.
- Analyse effectiveness of processes and systems in use in general and recommend corrective action or automation.
- Review performance against as per the goals of the organization and discuss gaps and agree on action plans to close the gaps.
2. Driving Business Direction
- To be an integral part and driver of the strategic planning, and decision making process.
- Work with the Business Development and Technical team to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients
- Ensure an effective and efficient operating model is maintained.
- Develop and facilitate planning for efficient operations
- Support expansion of the organization in new locations as required.
3. People Management/Leadership
- Lead and inspire a team of committed professionals as a leading research and consulting firm
- Work with project leaders to achieve excellent quality outputs
- Ensure that project managers have strong work plans to ensure timely completion of highest quality work.
- Ensure highest quality standards in the work accomplished at CASPL
- Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance Improvement process and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with.
- Pursue your own development goals to contribute towards personal as well as organization growth.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- At least 5-8 years general operations Management experience at senior level
- A minimum of 10-12 years experience in various roles including Project Management,
- An understanding of the agriculture and livelihood related issues
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Management Degree in Rural Management, Agribusiness management, and related fields
- Project Management certification
