Country Manager - FMCG/Beverage Industry (10-20 yrs)

Job description

Summary:

The Country Manager will maximize long term profitable volume growth of brands for the organization within the market by exploring and fully developing the market potential for the Country and build benchmark capabilities of the business. The Country Manager will protect and enhance the brand image and reputation of the products and the business. The Country Manager oversees the sales team that manages all sales/revenue generating activities and relationships with the Bottling Group in order to develop retailers, distributors and wholesalers. The main role is to increase top line sales revenue while maintaining bottom-line profitability.

Essential Job Duties:

- Meet and exceed volume, operating profit, and market share objectives for the Territory.

- Collaboratively work with the Marketing, Operations, Technical and Finance functions within the Territory.

- Develop written Annual Business Plan for each Distributor containing volume, distribution and performance objectives (by brand) as specified in their individual Distributor agreements.

- Responsibility to ensure Distributor alignment and commitment.

- Distributor visits to include quarterly training, inventory control and monthly order reviews to ensure adequate distributor inventory.

- Build the capabilities of direct reports. Develop/prepare sales presentation materials for Distributor and retail accounts, utilizing computer equipment and skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.

- Implement and execute processes and procedures to ensure interactive channels for communication and feedback.

- Manage the punctual analysis and reporting of results within the Territory.

- Effective open communications with the Distributor(s) to communicate the latest company standards, share information and best practices, identify common issues and agree resolutions.

- Work with Distributor to ensure the organization's quality standards are in place throughout the value chain.

. Work with executive management to ensure that the organization has the resources to enable it to achieve its plans (e.g. execution of brand plans) such as people, and business tools.

- Manage external image of the Organization in the local market, and build a positive image for the brands.

Requirements:

Extensive Strategic / Operational Interaction with:

- Company Management in Territory

- Executive Management

Direct management accountability for the staff as applicable including:

- Hiring / transfers / separations

- Team leadership, coordination of work assignments, and other supervision

- Performance management reviews and development plans

- Salary increase recommendations

- Coaching and feedback, ongoing personnel development

Minimum: 8 years of work experience, preferably within the beverage industry

Preferred: 10 years of work experience, preferably within the beverage industry at senior sales and management levels

Cross-functional experience in some of the following areas is essential:

- Consumer Marketing
