About our Client - Our client is a market leader in the energy space with tremendous growth plans in India. They operate out of more than 25 countries, employee over 5000 people worldwide and have a global turnover of more than a billion dollars. They are looking for a well rounded professional to head their HR function in India based out of Kolkata.

Job Description - Reporting into the CEO your responsibilities as Country Head HR will include Partner with Senior stakeholders in the organisation to strategise and set strong and effective people practices in India and thereafter to ensure overall management, co-ordination, development and implementation of the policies, processes and initiatives needed to achieve success from an HR angle.

- Be an instrumental and effective member of the leadership team and a trusted counselor and adviser to the CEO and other senior stakeholders.

- Coaching and guiding the leadership team to develop skills that in turn drive the business forward.

- Motivate and retain critical resources in the organisation to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

- Implement and oversee training and development programmes, based on business needs to develop all employees to maximum potential.

- Initiate talent management initiatives at all levels of the employee cycle.

- Drive succession and career planning with the intentional to provide talent for internal recruitment and establish a clear link between talent and performance management

- Run employee engagement to ensure high performance levels and low attrition levels

- Execute people related operational processes to the highest standards this will include, employee transactions with HR, remuneration reviews, performance management and roundtable process, occupational, health and safety, training planning, objective setting.

- Evaluating and implementing change, looking for ways to enhance and deliver value added initiatives across the business whilst remaining sensitive to the current culture and dynamic.

The Successful Candidate - You are a well- rounded HR professional with at least 8 years experience in an HR generalist role ideally with exposure leading cultural change and organisational development. You come from a manufacturing; sales- based OR R&D organizations in IT and/or electronic product development space. You have experience in partnering with business leader on the design and implementation of leadership development and change management.
