The job description is as under:
- Support in formulation and execution of strategies across one or all business divisions. This would involve doing a detailed market assessment for identifying new growth opportunities/ global customer trends, studying demand/ supply drivers for each individual business, competitor assessment, value-chain focus, etc
- Support execution of business strategies formulated by the respective businesses. Formulate consensus driven action items to target budgeted top line/ margins. This would involve long and detailed engagements with the specific business teams.
- To help Corporate Strategy Team in spearheading new initiatives. e.g. Preparing Competitive Intelligence and Macro-economic Reports for identifying threats and Opportunities
- To explore, identify and develop new business options either adjacent to the current business or in entirely new areas. This will involve discussions with international players as well.
- The above opportunities could be in existing businesses that we wish to Grow/ Transform/ Run/ Experiment, including businesses where we are contemplating making an investment/ undertake any M&A activity.
- Identify and exploit Strategic/ Operational/ Financial synergies across the various group companies/ divisions. Standardization of best practices across the group.

- Textile/ Retail/ Apparel/ Manufacturing, preferably in a Strategy Planning/ Corporate Development role.
- Marketing in good pedigreed consumer products/ FMCG/ retail co¡¦s
- Manufacturing oriented Strategy Consulting experience.
- Finance : Project appraisals, M&A Due-diligence, Credit Appraisals, etc.
The person must have a predisposition to and ability in general management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with CXO team
- Ability to put together high quality presentations and advanced excel using Pivot, etc
b) Strategic Thinking and High Conceptual Clarity are the most important criteria for selection.
