Copal Amba - Lead - Strategic Analytics (5-8 yrs)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a strong candidate with advanced analytics experience to fill a Lead Knowledge Analyst (LKA) position within the company's Advanced Analytics team. The role will be responsible for executing analysis that delivers valuable insights to organization's clients in collaboration with company's case teams. When teaming with local and international case teams, the LKA will ensure data and analysis is of high quality and deployed with sound business sense. The LKA will also assist Analytics colleagues in the development of advanced analytics platforms and data sets, tools and processes, including topics such as Segmentation, promotion effectiveness, churn prevention, network analysis, cluster detection and spatial-temporal data management.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Work with case (and proposal) teams:

- Delivers original analysis and insights to case teams, typically owns all or part of an analytics module and may be integrated with a case team

- Establishes credibility by thought partnering with case teams on analytics topics; takes positions and draws conclusions on a range of external and internal issues

- Communicates analytical insights through sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results (including PPT slides and charts)

- With consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyzes case team learning & inputs into new best practices and methodologies

Work with topic and sector teams:

- Contributes to development of new topic- and sector-related analytics products based on repeated case team requests (development in scope for separate proprietary data & tools team)

- Collaborates on PA intellectual capital development such as internal investments in industry and functional research/publications

- Assures proper sign-off before uploading materials into Knowledge Management; sanitizes confidential client content in marketing documents

- Develops topic and sector content related to analytics case work or Practice Area meetings and trainings

Job Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in a field linked to business analytics, statistics or geo-statistics, economics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or related field is required; advanced degree is preferred

- At least 5 - 8 years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solutions or around 2 - 4 years of consulting experience.

- Experience with multiple analytics methods (one or more required)

- Data management skills (e.g. data modeling, data integrity QA/QC)

- Geospatial data visualization and analytics (specialties such as cluster detection or geo-statistical methods)

- Spatial-temporal analysis (cartographic animation of time-series data)

- Network analysis (location-allocation, travelling sales person, vehicle routing problem)

- Customer segmentation and targeting

- Promotion and loyalty program effectiveness

- Customer LTV maximization

- Churn prevention

- Predictive modeling (logistic regression, linear regression, etc.)

- Experience in core analytics methods (one or more of the following):

- Statistics (t-tests, ANOVA, - ), variable reduction (FA, PCA, - )

- Segmentation/clustering techniques

- Geographic cluster recognition and manipulation techniques

- Predictive modeling: e.g. logistic regression, linear regression

- Network analysis (location-allocation, travelling sales person, vehicle routing problem)

- Time series analysis: e.g. ARIMA, VAR

- Machine learning: e.g. LCA, Random Forest, neural networks

- Spatial-temporal analysis

- Time series analysis (ARIMA, VAR, etc.)

- Simulation: e.g. MC, dynamic, discrete event

- Optimization: e.g. linear programming, heuristic

- Familiarity with analytics tools (one or more required)

- Advanced Excel

- Alteryx

- SQL, including geospatial types and functions

- R, SAS, SPSS

- GIS toolkits (ESRI, Quantum GIS, MapInfo or similar)

- ESRI Network Analyst, RouteSmart, RoadNet or similar

- Tableau, SSRS, GPS data analysis a plus

- Web programming (e.g. Javascript, web server administration, CGI) a plus

- Programming and/or scripting experience preferred e.g. VBA

- Familiarity with any of the following a strong plus

- Network analytics

- Optimization (linear programming, heuristic, etc.)

- Statistics

Work environment:

- Fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment

- Position is located in Delhi-Gurgaon, in the India Center for Knowledge & Analytics.
