Role and Responsibility
- 15-20 years of experience in running a consulting practice and managing revenues over 30Mn and grow unit YoY by 30%
- Accountable for overall direction, project execution, implementation and competency development of the unit
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and integrate well with the IT organization and achieve goals
- Come across as a thought leader and be able to communicate Cognizant PoV during client visits
Experience Requirements
- Must have experience in Manufacturing and Logistics with capability in Supply Chain and Core Manufacturing operations
- Should have a good understanding of IT services industry and IT in Manufacturing, Utility and Logistics industry
- Experienced and implemented projects and products for global clients
- Extensive program and project management experience
- Should have led a team of over 50 consultants across multiple discipline
Client Engagement and Relationship Building
- Must have global experience and led consulting engagements for Manufacturing and Logistics clients in the areas of defining IT strategy, business strategy, O2C, P2P, business-IT alignment, packages related consulting
- Should have won and led large multi-million $ consulting engagements
Thought Leadership and Solutions
- Should have been a speaker in international conferences and participate in targeted events or conferences to establish PoV and showcase industry and consulting expertise
- Demonstrated use of knowledge to establish and maintain client relationships
- Should have authored and published white papers in industry forums and events
- Drive IP solutions development and ensure commercialization of solutions
- Own responsibility jointly with vertical team in creating and delivering non-linear revenue generating solutions
Vertical Engagement
- Share the visions of the Manufacturing and Logistics vertical leadership team
- Work cohesively with the leadership in the vertical or delivery team
Team Building
- Build a team of strong client facing consultants and mentor them through their growth
- Initiate and manage team building initiatives to motivate the team and build a strong team
- Ensure and enable domain / business process knowledge is built and increased in the team
Other Job Requirements
- The role will involve a team of over 150 consultants in the hierarchy reporting directly or indirectly
- Manage the performance of the team reporting into the person as well as guide and help in their career progression
- Good leader with organizational and time management skills
Key Result Areas
- Meet the target revenue numbers and profitability
- Increase consulting footprint in strategic accounts
- Use consulting to make impact in existing accounts
- Meet overall Team utilization and billing targets, as well as self-billing targets
- Establish thought leadership in market facing scenarios / events such as Events, seminars etc
