Job Description:

- Management Consulting professionals focus on strategy and take responsibility for organizational change and business transformation

The Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) practice within the CN organization focuses on clients in:

- Communications - telecommunications providers, cable television companies, wireless and satellite carriers, broadcast, internet and interactive service providers

- Media - entertainment, publishing, printing, and advertising industry

- Technology - aerospace & defense, communications equipment, computer hardware, consumer electronics, data storage equipment, office equipment, semiconductor, and software manufacturers

This role is for a Consulting Manager in the CMT practice who will provide deep domain skills with wide experience in consulting in Communications (Telecoms).

- The role will provide expertise to help clients design and implement solutions to improve their existing business processes, or help optimize the efficiency and efficacy of these systems to provide improved business benefits.

- It should be noted that as in most consulting roles, the candidate may be called upon to perform significantly different roles and projects that come up in a broadbased consulting organization. As in all consulting roles, the client dictates the work profile. It is anticipated that a good manager will deliver what it takes to meet client requirements.

- Typically, there is a large component of offshore work and managers should be able to develop key capability for eg. offshore functional requirements, develop and run a process factory etc.

- Few of the key success factors would include - ability to innovate and create new models for engaging Capability Network from Accenture accounts globally.

- Ability to build and engage a small team is another. Building deep account relationships and collaborative relationship with peers will be an important third. Responsibilities may include:

Project Delivery: Lead small to medium-size teams to deliver projects for global clients, manage project economics including planning and budgeting, define deliverable content, manage stakeholders and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions. Responsibilities may include:

- Create functional Blueprints of BSS processes

- Requirement assessment and Functional gap analysis

- Ensure alignment of processes to industry standards

- Ability to understand the as-is process; understand issues with the processes which can be resolved either through technology or process solutions and design detail level to-be process with all stakeholders.

- Understand customer needs and translate them to business requirements (business requirement definition), business process flows and functional requirements thereby acting as an interface between business and technology teams

- Respond to RFI and RFPs

- Provide inputs on best practices, industry leading solutions

- Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the CMT practice

- Perform role of counselor and coach, provides input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities

- Develop points-of-view, research or white papers on process transformation & process enhancements, support development of marketing collateral, conduct public speaking and publish in industry periodicals;

Experience:

Specific experience will include:

- 8-14 years of consulting experience in the telecommunications sector typically from the Big4. Strategy Consulting managers can also be looked at for specific roles.

Consulting experience for operators / service providers along with the following skills

- Functional analysis of existing Fulfillment and assurance systems

- B2B process/ model design

- Business model definition

Working knowledge of standards such as eTOM
