Job Title: Consultant/Sr. Consultant

Location: Gurgaon/Bangalore/Mumbai

Also sharing some pointers.

- experience level for Consultant profile - 3 to 4 years of industry experience

- experience level for Sr. Consultant profile - 4 to 6 years of industry experience

We can also hire either of the levels b/w Consultant or Sr. Consultant

- Excellent written+oral comm skills required along with strong pedigree

- Should be open to intl’ travel - location & duration depends on client/project

- Some kind of process knowledge is required. Open

- Team management is required at both Consultant (Senior) & Sr. Con level (which is AM level). E.g. smaller engagements would involve 1 to 3 members

- Planning and budgeting

- Financial reporting & consolidation

- MIS

- Working capital management

- Tax Treasury General Ledger

- CAs are preferred here since we are looking at core finance process experience such as General Ledger, Consolidation and Reporting, Tax, Treasury, etc. MBAs with this experience in Industry (regardless of specialization) are also ok provided they've done this work extensively. A combination of CA+MBA would be ideal.

This profile is for core FMAS solutions. We need experience in SOPs, process design

Anyone working in a BPO set-up, then the candidate should have worked in the core finance function of the entity

- If a person is only an MBA quality of the institute matters

The finance function needs to be aligned to business strategy, and provide financial analysis and insight to support corporate decision making, while also meeting legal and regulatory requirements as a given. Aimed at helping to maximize the finance function's performance and increase its value to the business, Our client provides a range of Financial Management services under our three service networks:

- Efficient Finance Operations: An efficient finance function helps identify and deliver specific improvements in order to unlock value and resources thus freeing up time for improved decision support activities. It is founded on a robust platform of integrated operational/transactional finance activities.

- Effective Decision Support: This service network helps clients deliver a fit-for-purpose financial planning and performance management framework in order to help the business to make better decisions.

- Finance Strategy and Transformation: Finance Strategy and Transformation helps a client to define the role of finance in driving the strategic business imperatives. It helps the CFO to clearly articulate its Finance vision and strategy, analyze the performance of the finance function, and develop a future state operating model that is fit for purpose.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Consultant/Senior Consultants will play the role of being team members in various Financial Management Advisory Services (FMAS) engagements as part of the larger Management Consulting Team.

- The nature of engagements would consist of Finance Process Optimization, Quality Close & Integrating Reporting, Finance Function Benchmarking, Finance Shared Services & Outsourcing, Cash & Working Capital Management, Cost Management, Financial Information Management, Financial Performance Management, Planning Budgeting & Forecasting, Finance integration & separation, Finance organization design, Finance target operating model and Finance transformation.

- On smaller engagements Senior Consultants will be experienceected to play the role of team leaders with 1 - 3 team members reporting to them for the project

- Remain current on developments in the economy - specifically in areas of finance

- Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge

- Possess good understanding of business processes in a corporate environment

- Regular interaction with senior client personnel for delivering engagements

- Work in a dynamic business environment and willing to adapt to different industries on a continuous basis

- Meet stringent quality of engagement delivery through thorough and meticulous planning and execution of the tasks assigned

- Plan out work for oneself and reporting team members where relevant

- Conduct research, read thought leadership and knowledge repositories on a regular basis to deliver as per engagement requirements

- Monitor progress of work against the engagement plan

- Maintain documentation as per required quality standards

- Prepare the required deliverables in the format agreed with the Engagement Manager and client

The Individual:

- Strong understanding of core finance processes such as Planning & Budgeting, Financial Reporting & Consolidation, Taxation, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Working Capital Management, etc

- Work experienceerience in either a consulting organization focused on finance transformation or in industry working in a finance function

- Possess strong finance domain knowledge as well as understanding of key business processes

- Basic understanding of ERP systems (oracle/SAP will be an advantage)

- Knowledge of MS office ( MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)

- Understanding of control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness and efficiency

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage

- Demonstrate integrity, values, principles and strong work ethic

- Ability to work well in teams

- Have the ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours

- Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time.
