Position purpose:   During the course of engagement, the position will support:   - selected business area(s)/ team(s) in establishing and maintaining a Continuous Improvement culture in line with organization's Operational Excellence (OE) approach - to include coaching internal resource(s) to become Continuous Improvement/Lean practitioner proficient at process improvement and operational coaching.   - any other OE initiatives that may be kicked off from time to time in keeping with organization's OE objectives   Daily work:   0-3 months:  - Design Visual Management Boards within a team/service line   - Identify team performance measures/ targets/KPIs and establish a baseline  - Establish a daily huddle/ daily stand up meeting rhythm  - Help teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities (quick win, just do it)   3-6 months:  - Collaborate with Global Financial Services (GFS) - our off shore team - or home locations as the case may be - to establish linked Visual Management Boards and daily huddles.  Finance operating cycle:  0-3 months:  - Identify all processes which a team performs on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)   - Identify all process subtasks and their distribution between GFS and home location   - Identify peaks and troughs of FTE utilization and smooth demand to reduce hours worked / overtime incurred   3-6 months:  - Drive simplification of end-to-end processes and the operating cycle  - Drive further transition of subtasks to GFS to increase end-to-end process ownership   - Proactively identify key areas for improvement   End-to-End Processes:   0-3 months:  - Run end-to-end Value Stream Mapping workshops incl. preparation, facilitation and follow up   - Identify problem areas and improvement opportunities   - Drive implementation from clear problem statement and improvement objective to - sustainably improved/implemented- using DMAIC methodology   3-6 months:  - Repeat across a second/ third end-to-end value stream   Deliverable:   Measurable success must be demonstrated across all three areas:   Establish continuous improvement:   - performance measures/KPIs improve (move the dial)   - Improvement ideas are identified and implemented   - Regular routines established / behaviours changed (assessment visit)   - Productivity improvement within the selected area   - Measurable benefits across quality, risk, customer and employee satisfaction metrics.   Ideal Candidate:   - Graduate in Finance or Engineering discipline with a post-graduate qualification in Finance or Management discipline from premier institutions   - Minimum of 10 years of industry or operations/management consulting experience subsequent to post-graduation preferably in financial services of which minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in driving operational excellence, medium to large scale change management or end to end business process reengineering projects utilising Lean Six Sigma tools, techniques and methodologies   - Willingness to travel overseas on extended assignments of 6-12 months duration or for fly-in/fly-out for four weeks at a time
