POSITION - Commodity Manager – Medical Equipment & Devices
REPORTING TO - Senior VP/Head of Global Logistics
LOCATION - Gurgaon, India
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE - 10-15 Years
Commodity Strategy Development
- Develop and deploy commodity strategies including risk assessment, for total commodity spend portfolio
- Drive the supply market analysis
Spend Management
- Manage the global negotiation process and deliverables for commodity
- Report on team performance (projects, negotiation, expected financial results)
- Manage the saving projects
Contracting
- Manage supplier contracting process
- Develop, maintain & drive implementation of Global commodity spend control plan
Supply Base Management & Development
- Define commodity preferred supplier lists and differentiated supplier relationships
- Manage right sizing of the supplier base and product / configuration diversity
- Collaborate and align with Projects group/s in each country and align ways of working and inter-dependencies
- Mitigate supply risk via risk assessments and mitigation plans
Supply Quality & Sustainability
- Ensure process is in place to receive regular feedback on supplier performance
- Manage Supplier development process for selected key suppliers with a performance gap.
- Managing Business Analyst and ensuring commodity demand planning process and capabilities are established
Candidate profile requirements
- Having deep understanding of the Pharmaceutical and other Medical supplies market
- Strong performance track record having worked in the Pharmaceutical and other Medical supplies market
- Strong track record of doctor interface and influencing doctor preferences
- Insights into supplier market, margins, profitability, challenges, regulatory requirements
- Strong commercial, change management and collaboration skills.
